A bespoke experience
Whether you are attending a special occasion or just can’t find the perfect outfit ... bespoke is a fabulous way to ensure you are wearing a unique one-off piece.
Your design can be as simple or elaborate as wish. Hannah will advise you on fabrics, design and styles that would suit. Combining your ideas and her own into your design. Working closely with each client from the initial designs through to the finishing touches . Designed and made for you, ensuring the perfect fit.
The ideal time frame for a bespoke outfit is roughly 7-10 weeks.
Consultation and design process
In the consultation we will discuss your ideas. Any styles and details you are drawn to, along with shade and fabric preferences. Taking into consideration the event you are attending and what style would be suitable for the occasion. Consultations are very relaxed and chatty, allowing your design to develop naturally. There is a wide variety of fabric swatches to choose from and others can be sourced if needed. During this consultation Hannah will draw various designs for you.
There is a consultation fee of £25. No time limit is placed on the consultation, the design process takes how ever long it takes!
Measurements and cotton fitting
On your second visit your measurements are taken along with a deposit (this is usually a third of the quote). Your design will then be made in to a toilé (a cotton mock-up of the design).
During the cotton toilé fitting any alterations to the fit and the design can be made. Details or changes can be drawn on to help visualise placement of embellishments and how your dress will look like when it is completed.
The cotton toilé will then be taken apart, adjusted accordingly and made up in your finished fabric.
Silk fittings and final outfit
Your dress/outfit is then fitted again, this stage may involve one or two final fittings to ensure a perfect fit and for any detailing or embellishments to be added.
It is advisable to bring along any underwear you wish to wear and your shoes to all fittings, so that the fit and length can be measured accurately.
On the final fitting, the outfit is ready for collection and the remaining balance is payable.
